Certified Lean Sigma Black Belt Training with Minitab

Lean Sigma black belts are the backbone of lean six sigma implementation.  They are the leaders of Lean Sigma projects.  This program teaches all of the necessary skills for  successful leadership of a lean Sigma project.  Lean Sigma Black Belts generate an average of more than 200 thousand dollars per project of savings and new net revenue. Each Black Belt can lead  3-5 projects a year.

 Participants in this course are  encouraged to bring a real project from their company to the class (we can help with project selection).  The instructors will guide participants through successful project completion during the course.  This allows real  gains to be realized during the course (class projects are usually vastly greater in value than the cost of the course). A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course and final exam.

Course Objectives

¨ Understand the value of the TPS /lean manufacturing methods and its applicability to your organization

¨ Understand the role, relevance, and potential of Six Sigma and Lean in process improvement

¨ Learn effective leadership, project management, and communication methods

¨ Design and implement an effective lean Sigma project at your organization

¨ Gain expertise using lean Sigma and other advanced statistical techniques

¨ Become a process improvement leader capable of driving valuable improvement and a catalyst for positive organizational change

¨ Be familiar with the DMAIC methodology (define, measure, analyze, improve, control)

¨ Understand and determine customer requirements

¨ Asses customer satisfaction and create a plan to increase it

¨ Grasp basics of accurate data collection techniques and how to create information from simple tools

¨ Become proficient with the foundations of graphical analysis and Six Sigma analytics.
