| Master Black Belts (MBB) are the building blocks of your Lean Six Sigma and DFSS deployment. MBBs have been trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt and/or demonstrated proficiency in statistical tools and expertise in leading and teaching others. MBBs train Black Belts and Green Belts, helping to select, scope and mentor projects; guide the organization in addressing quality from a strategic business perspective and focusing on statistical problem solving efforts to drive results. This course is designed for those interested in becoming experts in Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) for developing, deploying and sustaining a successful Lean Six Sigma programs in their organizations. It starts with the overview of basic skills necessary to manage Lean Six Sigma deployment in their organizations and ends with the advanced Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Validate (DMADV) and DMAIC methodology. The DMAIC and DMADV methodologies are presented with case studies and examples drawn from Service, Business Process, and Manufacturing applications. Traditionally this course is taught in two 5-day segments over two months. Topics The most valuable and most widely used tools and concepts of Lean Six Sigma in service / manufacturing environment are introduced in this course. It is designed to provide a broad understanding of the Lean Six Sigma improvement methodology, concepts, and language, along with a complete toolbox of basic process development and improvement methods applied within a Six Sigma framework, such as voice of the customer (VOC), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability and Survival Analysis, Tolerancing, and simulation methods. In addition, Lean Six Sigma statistical methods used in Six Sigma projects and new tools in areas such as study of variation, multivariate experiments, nonparametric analysis, destructive testing, handling attribute responses, practical experimentation, optimization experiments, handling multi-response experiments, distributional analysis, advanced regression methods, advanced SPC methods are covered.
A certification of completion will be provided which may be used for recertification credits. A Master Black Belt certification is granted upon passing the final exam. Participants will be able to run mega Lean Six Sigma and dfss projects and mentor Black Belts and Green Belts. | |
